Celebrating its third year, the Risa Wellness Project@THEARC provides accessible, high-quality mental health services (including counseling, psychiatric care, and art therapy) to low-income children and adolescents. In 2016, the Risa Fund worked to develop curriculum to launch personal journaling workshops at THEARC. Additionally, the Risa Fund is advancing THEARC’s ArtReach art therapy program to foster wellness through creative expression. We are extremely grateful for each contribution to the Risa Wellness Project, including recent sizable grants from the Sharing Committee of the Community Foundation for the National Capital Region (CFNCR) and the Clara Elizabeth Jackson Carter Foundation.
